DIARY
Oct, Nov, Dec..
Well what a crazy time of year !
Sorry for the slow updates but its busy busy busy in our camp. It's been party central non-stop. We've been doing charity balls (so celeb spotting galore) , xmas parties (tis the season to be jolly!) and even got to work with the lovely Mr Gareth Gates who did a set with us at the Bobby Moore Foundation Ball.
Then, recording TV shows, (Karen-Louise and Faye have just recorded the second series of the Chris Moyles' Quiz night joined by the lovely Claire McInerny on sax ) while Kit has been hamming it up on X-factor.
In addition Faye has been gigging around Europe with electro indie pop stars "Mr Fogg" , Kit is working on her big girl power project and we are trying to squeeze in a couple of sessions for independent films before the new year. Then we get to relax for a few days in sunny Dubai after our New Years Eve gig at the fabulous Jumeirah Beach Hotel with top party band "Souled Out" . Leading us into January when we will be in the studio recording.
Happy Holidays Everyone !!!

September
Dare we say it but we are hoping to find time when we are all free to get in the studio and honk out some tunes.
Other exciting things happening : we are supporting Heatwave ("Boogie Nights" and "Always and Forever") and Gwen Dickey's Rose Royce (Carwash soundtrack , "Wishing on a star", "Love dont live here anymore") with the top party band Souled Out.
Also worth mentioning is that on September 2nd Karen-Louise is performing with the Zoltans (Tpt and Vocals), at The Freighthouse, Rochford. This is in honour of Stephen Koch's visit (The leading Louis Jordon authority)....along-side the first UK screening of his film 'Is You Is?' (the Louis Jordan story), and.... not to be one to miss a party, Kit is excited to be reunited with DJ Urban Soldier on September 17th for the re-launch of the trendy Sazerac Bar in her home town Northampton. Guest list only so get in touch you Northants kids!
So far September (baa duda, baa duda, ba duda, badu etc ) is going to be a funky month!

August
Wedding season is here and we always find it to be a treat to be part of so many peoples special day. The weather has been great at all of them, so phew! It is England after all!
Faye has been doing the rounds with NYJO this month and Kit was drafted in by the Band of the Grenadier Guards to do a recording for their summer cd and discovered the hardest three bars of classical tenor playing ever! The cd is for the Help For Heros charity to support our wounded troops. Karen-Lousie has also been jazzing it up this month with the Hot Orange Big Band at the Ealing Jazz Festival and was also commissioned to write and perform fanfares for the opening of the 'Ocean Hotel and Spa' at Butlins, Bogner Regis..

July
Faye's month! Just as Faye got back from playing the North Sea Jazz Festival she was introduced to the GTH? Rehearsal.
We love to dance and play so we combine the two and it's a great fitness regime. Only we all have to get those horns moving in the same direction otherwise injury to ourselves and our horns happen! Faye has done a stirling job and so far no collisions, but it's early days!!! Karen-Louise and Kit over the past 8 years have head butted , bashed into each other, had elbows in the face....... and that's just arguing over who gets the last pizza slice :D
If you managed to catch one of the private shows we did this month we are sure you will agree the hard work has paid off!

June
Introducing the wonderful Miss Faye Treacy on trombone as the newest member of GTH? We are excited to have her on board - check out her profile for more info on this gorgeous talented trombonist!
We would also like to say a big thank you to the boys at image 1st for a fabulous shoot full of laughter. We cant recommend them highly enough for a fun day and great photos. If you need some pics get in touch with Doren, AJ and Joby at Image1st.com
One of the best moments of the month was supporting The Temptations and we have gathered a new fan in Richard Street (original band member). Seeing them sing and move was a real treat. Old school and totally on it! We hate to say it but you just don't hear such great 4 part harmony singing anymore. Go and see them when they are next here you wont regret it!`
Another highlight was being fortunate to meet and have a jam with Aswad. Incredible roots musicians and lovely guys. The talent in the room was amazing and the visual of three skinny white chicks and them must have been hilarious!!
